Guidelines for page 1.
Page 1 contains:
- the volume number of Scientia;
- the date of preparation of the article (not the supposed date of final publication of the full volume, that usually is finished later);
- the title of the article;
- the name of the author(s) with their affiliation or mailing address;
- the Abstract (if required - for scientific articles there must be an Abstract).
Page 1 must be conform to one of the following templates (here in the popular format Microsoft Word DOC), depending on the number of authors.
Some templates are based on the A4 paper format, mostly used in Europe, and other ones on the Letter paper format, mostly used in the Americas.
The authors using a word processor which does not support DOC files, must convert or rebuild them following the proper template and place it at page 1.
The authors using LaTex can separately make a PDF document of both the template and the article, and then join them together with a proper software
(such as the freeware PdfEdit995 or the online service at PdfJoin.com).
Choose and download the proper template for your article.
Each template contains 2 other pages besides page 1, that you can use for properly formatting the article (otherwise you can cut it and keep page 1).
Read and follow the instructions on the template itself, then delete those instructions and rewrite the beginning of the article over the same space.
